Next stop…Bumbershoot!

August 31st, 2009

I guess the party never stops for a working musician! I’ve been in Nashville the last couple of days writing and recording some new songs and I’m really excited about everything that’s going on. On Friday night we played a sick show with .38 Special in downtown Nashville. It was a great night and the crowd was CRAAZY! Now, we are gearing up for Bumbershoot in Seattle!! None of us have ever been and we are all pumped about it. We are playing at Samsung’s Kick-Off Party at Sky Church, as well as the festival on Monday. We are going to have a very special guest sit in on a song at the Sky Church. ;) The festival is going to be rad since we get to play the Mural Stage right under the Space Needle, which will be extremely cool. The band and I will be doing a
meet-and-greet after the show on Monday at 2:30 in the Samsung Rock Prophecies Lounge on the Fountain Lawn. I will be hanging, signing autographs, and taking pictures. The vibe will be sick. I’m really looking forward to seeing all of our Samsung friends who have been so supportive of Rock Prophecies and of me! It’s gonna be a funky good time. See you soon! :)

Hurt Tour Wrap Up & Kicking off Shinedown Tour

August 28th, 2009

Hey guys,

We are pretty excited to have a couple of days off the road to recharge before hitting it hard again with Shinedown & Adelita’s Way.  The thing with being on the road is that you get to do what you love in front of people who love what you do…but it’s nice to have a couple of days in a bed that doesn’t make you fall out when the driver hits a bump.

They say a photo is worth a thousand words, so we have some photos for you to highlight some of our amazing moments over the last couple of months.  Touring with Hurt, Veer Union, Tunnels to Holland – it was awesome.  We had a lot of great experiences and got to meet so many of you at our TMobile in-stores and at the venues.

We’re also pretty pumped about doing Bumbershoot in Seattle.  It’s right around the corner.  We hope to meet more of you there and you’ll get to see Rock Prophecies, too.  You can check it out on all our social networks and follow @sickpuppies and @rockprophecies on Twitter if you’re a Tweeter.

One last bit of news before moving on to the photos – We are proud to announce our involvement with the “25th Anniversary of WrestleMania – World Television Premiere” this Sunday, August 29th on NBC at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT).  “War” will be featured during the Special, which will feature all the action, excitement, drama and athleticism from the original April 5th Pay Per View broadcast, but condensed to one hour.

For our WWE fans, you can count on seeing unforgettable performances from WWE Superstars including Triple H, Randy Orton, John Cena, Big Show, Edge, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Jeff Hardy and many others including the WWE Divas Kelly Kelly, Michelle McCool, 2008 Playboy Cover Girl Maria Kanellis, and more!

Disappointments & Rockline

August 23rd, 2009

Hi all, this was an interesting one…

First, we were supposed to be headlining the 22nd AnnualBlock Party for 96x.  The Buzz has always been tremendous to us and incredibly supportive of our music.  We were so pumped to be able to work with them on their Annual Block Party.  Our manager got a call at 2 am that there was some kind of chaos between the show promoter and the venue owner.  So we got cancelled LAST MINUTE by the venue owner…  We decided to head down anyway, driving for four hours from our show the night before.  We tried to get together with The Buzz, since they’re awesome, but we weren’t able to find a replacement venue on a Saturday night with such short notice.    There’s nothing stranger than being locked out of a venue on the day of the show…

We sincerely appologize to all our fans who came out and were disappointed.  Hope to see you all down the road and we’ll be taking your calls live on ROCKLINE with our good friend Robert Knight (the awesome legendary photographer of Rock Prophecies) .  Check out the details below:

Fans are encouraged to speak with Sick Puppies and Robert Knight by calling 1-800-344 ROCK (7625). For a station near you or for information regarding how to log onto the Internet to hear the broadcast go to www.RocklineRadio.com This broadcast will then be streamed on our website for two weeks beginning the day after the broadcast.”
