I guess the party never stops for a working musician! I’ve been in Nashville the last couple of days writing and recording some new songs and I’m really excited about everything that’s going on. On Friday night we played a sick show with .38 Special in downtown Nashville. It was a great night and the crowd was CRAAZY! Now, we are gearing up for Bumbershoot in Seattle!! None of us have ever been and we are all pumped about it. We are playing at Samsung’s Kick-Off Party at Sky Church, as well as the festival on Monday. We are going to have a very special guest sit in on a song at the Sky Church. The festival is going to be rad since we get to play the Mural Stage right under the Space Needle, which will be extremely cool. The band and I will be doing a
meet-and-greet after the show on Monday at 2:30 in the Samsung Rock Prophecies Lounge on the Fountain Lawn. I will be hanging, signing autographs, and taking pictures. The vibe will be sick. I’m really looking forward to seeing all of our Samsung friends who have been so supportive of Rock Prophecies and of me! It’s gonna be a funky good time. See you soon!

So after our trip to NY, we were lucky enough to play a couple of shows with Heart. It was an amazing experience for me to share the stage with one of my favorite rock bands ever! In two days, we got to share our music with more than 15,000 people!! Whaaaat? Oh yeah. On top of that, we got to listen to Heart tear it up once we finished playing. Normally, I never really want a show to end, but when you get to hear Nancy and Ann Wilson KILL IT afterwards, it’s not so bad.;) The fans were great!! We stuck around after the shows to meet everyone and sign autographs. Good times. Here are a few videos from our second night with Heart. I’m off like a light!

Always Comes Back

Hey! So things have been CRAZY lately and I love it. We had a great time in New York City. We played an awesome show at one of the vibyest clubs in the city called the Village Underground. A few of our friends from Samsung as well as some major label people came to check it out! It was a great hang. After the show, we all sat down for some Italian food at the best restaurant ever! The next day, I did a live interview on Sirius radio with Robert and John to promote the screenings of Rock Prophecies! It was a lot of fun and the DJs were really cool guys. They played a few of my songs on the air and I’ve been getting emails NON STOP! I love it!
After the radio interview, I went back to the hotel to grab my gear to head to the Top of the Rock, where Samsung was throwing the party of the century!! When I got to my hotel room, I realized that my pedalboard was missing. I thought it might be in Calvin and Caleb’s room since Caleb’s drums came to my room. When I called Calvin to ask him to bring it down to the lobby, he said he hadn’t seen it. Needless to say, I started to panic a little bit. After watching hours of security tapes and checking every room on the 15th floor, we accepted the fact that it was gone and decided to move on with our night. I was pretty bummed until I arrived at the Top of the Rock party! WOW!! We played an acoustic set as we looked out over NY. The view was amazing. When the party was over, we all went back to our hotel rooms to get an hour or two of sleep before we had to fly to Kansas City to re-unite with the “Pampered Lady”..When I got to my room, I got a call saying that the trailer for Rock Prophecies was playing on the jumbotron in Times Square! I think this was around 2:00AM? Haha..Needless to say, I grabbed the guys and we jumped in a cab headed downtown. Before we got to Times Square, I asked the driver to take us by the Village Underground..I couldn’t leave NY without checking to see if they had seen my pedalboard. Jake jumped out and ran in as Caleb and I waited in the cab. When Jake walked out carrying a giant black case(filled with my pedals), Caleb and I went NUTS!! I know everyone on that street heard us screaming and going crazy. I was so happy. I honestly felt like that night couldn’t get any better! I was wrong. When we pulled up to Time Square I look up to see the trailer of Rock Prophecies playing on the jumbotron!! We freaked out once again! We stood in a crowd of people for a little while and watched the trailer a couple times. I was beyond thrilled. I’ve been a ton of places this month, but I think some of the best memories came from New York! Thanks again to Samsung for making it possible for me to share my music with so many people! I’m having the time of my life!
